FAQ
Delivery & Returns
What is your return policy?
If for any reason, you're less than thrilled with your purchase, we'll be happy to offer a refund on any purchases for up to 30 days after your item was received as long as it's in original condition.
Returns are free. Please send us a mail at contact@karaatjewelry.com, and you will get your shipping label.
How long does it take to get my jewelry?
In-stock pieces are delivered in 2-5 working days. Made-to-order pieces take longer depending on the piece — the estimated delivery date is shown on every product page and in your cart.
Every parcel is fully insured and shipped securely. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive tracking details, and you can choose whether it is delivered to your home or to a pickup point near you.
In Finland and Sweden you can also collect your order from our Helsinki or Stockholm showroom during opening hours. Choose showroom pickup at checkout and we will email you when your piece is ready.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard delivery is free on every order, anywhere in the world.
Made-to-order pieces can be expedited: express production can be selected at checkout for an additional fee, which depends on the piece.
In Finland and Sweden you can also collect your order free of charge from our Helsinki or Stockholm showroom — just choose showroom pickup at checkout.
Where do you ship?
We ship to any international destination. We don't ship to P.O. boxes (either international or domestic).

What forms of payment do you accept?

Is my purchase covered by a warranty?
Every KARAAT piece comes with a lifetime warranty, covering manufacturing defects and workmanship. For Wedding & Engagement rings, free stone replacement is conditional on a yearly maintenance check.
Read the full warranty in our return policy, or email us at contact@karaatjewelry.com with any warranty questions.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We are able to change or cancel your order before it has been shipped. Just send us an email at contact@karaatjewelry.com, message us on Whatsapp or DM us on Instagram @karaatjewelry. If we have already shipped your order, you may return it using our free returns option within 30 days.
Sizing
Can I resize a ring?
We offer a free 30-day resizing for all our Wedding & Engagement rings. As the resizing will take a couple of weeks with shipping, make sure to get as close as possible on the first time - if adjustment is needed, no worries! Just contact us via e-mail at contact@karaatjewelry.com, message us on Whatsapp or through our social media @karaatjewelry.
If your ring has been shipped outside the EU, we will reimburse resizing costs up to €85 when the resizing is done by a professional third-party jeweler. Just contact us in advance and keep the receipt for reimbursement.
You can always exchange one of our everyday collection rings to the correct size within the 30-day free returns & exchange policy. Outside of that, an additional fee may apply.
Do you necklaces come in different lengths?
Our necklaces are designed to be worn in various lengths and have an adjustable design. All necklaces have three jump rings so you can wear them at full-length (46 cm), mid-length or short (41 cm).
Do you bracelets come in different lengths?
Our bracelets come in one length but have three jump rings for the option to wear them snug or loose.
Jewelry & Materials
Are all your pieces made with 18k solid gold and lab-grown diamonds?
All our jewelry is made with 18-karat recycled, solid gold and high quality lab-grown diamonds. For wedding and engagement rings, we also offer platinum, a precious metal renowned for its natural strength and enduring beauty. At the moment, platinum is available upon request. Please contact us if you would like your ring crafted in platinum.
Our diamonds are grown in selected laboratories that recreate the same conditions that form diamonds underground. Physically, they are exactly like mined diamonds and are graded similarly. Labgrown diamonds are a more sustainable and completely conflict-free option for natural ones and can be easily traced back to their origin.
Because pure gold (24-karat) is much too soft to wear as jewelry, other metals are added to it to enhance its durability. It’s about striking the perfect balance between the warmth and purity of gold and adding just enough alloy to ensure the jewelry’s longevity, or to give it a particular hue (like white or rose gold). Platinum is naturally strong, hypoallergenic, and maintains its pure white luster without the need for alloys – making it a perfect symbol for lasting commitment.

Where is your jewelry made?
All of KARAAT’s jewelry is designed in Finland and handmade in Rome, Italy and Antwerp, Belgium. All our pieces arrive to us straight from our goldsmiths, meaning we can work closely with our makers and create beautiful pieces perfecting them down to the last detail.
Can I get a certificate of authenticity?
All our pieces include a certificate of authenticity made by KARAAT as standard.
For some pieces, you can order a third party jewelry certification from our partner HRD Antwerp.
All jewelry with 0.5ct diamonds or larger come with a third party certificate from HRD Antwerp free of charge.
What quality diamonds do you use?
We use D-F color and VS-VVS clarity diamonds in our Everyday pieces. For our Wedding & Engagement collection, we offer three quality options:
Good (G-H / VS) — Near-colorless, with inclusions only a loupe will find.
High (D-F / VS) — Truly colorless, in the top color range, with inclusions only a loupe will find. The quality most of our customers choose.
Excellent (D-F / VVS) — Truly colorless and virtually inclusion-free, extraordinary even at 10× magnification.
All three are eye-clean: you will not spot an inclusion in any of them with the naked eye. Where they differ is whiteness, and in what remains when you look through a loupe. We have deliberately chosen not to offer anything below Good.
